The Louisiana State Affiliate of the American Geriatrics Society is a statewide, not-for-profit association of geriatrics healthcare professionals, research scientists, and other concerned individuals dedicated to improving the health, independence and quality of life of all older people. It is the mission of the Louisiana Geriatrics Society (LGS), a non-profit organization, to promote high quality, comprehensive and accessible care for the older population through educational programs, research updates and advocacy. This mission will be directed toward improving clinical practice, addressing issues of independent living and enhancing the quality of life.
